DottieTodo is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

The only data stored on your device includes:

  • Your tasks and todo items
  • Projects and lists you create
  • Tags and labels
  • User statistics (streaks, completion counts)
  • App preferences (theme, settings)

2. Calendar Integration (Optional)

DottieTodo offers optional integration with Apple Calendar (EventKit). This feature is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission. When enabled:

  • Tasks with due dates can be synced to your local calendar
  • Calendar events can be imported as tasks
  • All calendar data remains on your device and in your iCloud
  • We do not access or store any calendar data on our servers

3. Data Storage & Security

All your data is stored exclusively on your device using SwiftData, Apple's modern persistence framework. We do not:

  • Store data on remote servers
  • Sync data to our cloud services
  • Collect usage analytics or crash reports
  • Track your behavior or location
  • Use cookies or similar tracking technologies
  • Sell or share any data with third parties

Your data is protected by Apple's built-in iOS security features, including device encryption, passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

4. Your Rights & Control

You have complete control over your data:

  • Access: All your data is visible and accessible within the app
  • Modification: Edit or update any task, project, or setting at any time
  • Deletion: Delete individual tasks or clear all app data through iOS Settings
  • Export: Your data is stored locally for your own backup via iCloud or iTunes

5. Third-Party Services

DottieTodo does not integrate with analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers. The only external integration is the optional Apple Calendar sync, which operates entirely within Apple's ecosystem.

6. Children's Privacy

DottieTodo does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app contains no advertisements, in-app purchases, or external links. Parents can use Screen Time or Apple's parental controls to manage app access.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any material changes will be reflected in the app and on this page. Since we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
